WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT HYLAND ESTATE

Ashlea first reached out to me on instagram after being recommended to me through a friend. We instantly hit it off and had arranged to meet for an engagement shoot a few weeks later. Fast forward two weeks and on one of the hottest days of the year we met up at the beautiful Hyland Estate in Chelmsford. It’s the perfect place for an engagement shoot as the ‘pleasure gardens’ are great for romantic and intimate photographs. Although, it’s super popular so picking an off peak time is key, either that or I need to prepare myself for a lot of photoshopping people out of the background! 😉

Ashlea and Fig had never had their photographs professionally taken before and were super nervous. Fig’s first comment to me was “Just take one or two photos and then we’re done”! This is often a guys responds to having their photos taken! I assured them the time would fly by and I was completely right! Where an earth did that hour go? I’m not sure i’ve laughed so much on an engagement shoot, we’re talking ‘belly holding & shoulders bouncing’ kinda laughter! It was amazing, and definitely what we all needed straight out of lockdown. Ashlea and Fig happiness is contagious and my jaw was hurting the whole drive home! At the end of the shoot I asked them if it was as nerve wracking as they thought it would be, Ashlea quickly replied ‘it was so fun, a great experience and once of the best days EVER!’ 🙂
